CLE is thrilled to announce the launch of Konbit Jèn 3.0, the third iteration of our youth leadership conference series, which kicked off its first conference in the NorthEast city of Ouanaminthe on November 28, 2020. Between 2015 and today, CLE has held seven regional conferences and one nation-wide summit engaging over 2500 youth leading change through civic engagement, community development and social enterprise initiatives. With this third round, CLE’s Youth Program will reach national-level representation, sparking youth networks for change in all ten departments of Haiti.
The remaining Konbit Jèn conferences calendar is:
- Port-de-Paix, NorthWest on December 5, 2020
- Jeremie, Grand’Anse on December 19, 2020
- La Gonave, West on January 16, 2021
Konbit Jèn presents youth speakers – a diverse and inspiring group of new faces who are making waves as social entrepreneurs, activists, and community changemakers.
Working closely with our regional and national-level partners, such as Rasin Pou Devlopman, engaged youth in each region are invited to apply to participate by expressing their engagement and vision for their communities. At the conferences, youth leaders engage in an exciting day of presentations, networking and workshops to learn about the visions and goals of like-minded peers in their region. After being recruited through these conferences, youth participate in an intensive calendar of leadership and entrepreneurship education programs, networking and engagement events, national-level competitions, and gain access to catalytic opportunities such as funding and international scholarships.
