Through the Angaje program, CLE has devoted the last twelve months to empowering around a hundred young entrepreneurs, supporting them in their business start-up process with specialized training, personalized coaching and support in formalizing their projects. To crown it all, CLE is launching the 5th edition of the “Chanpyon Lakay” competition, with a view to revealing and rewarding these emerging social entrepreneurs.
 
The Chanpyon Lakay competition aims to offer Angaje program participants a precious chance to win a significant grant, conducive to the growth and development of their businesses. But that’s not all! The competition is also a celebration of entrepreneurial excellence, highlighting the innovative initiatives of these young talents. By rewarding their creativity and commitment, we hope to raise the profile of their projects and encourage the public to get more involved in this inspiring dynamic.
 
The competition will come to a close in December with the announcement of the winners, who will receive a grant to support the development of their business. The event is a celebration of innovation and the commitment of young entrepreneurs to their community.

Important dates

  • September 13, 2024 | Contest launch : The competition is officially launched on September 13, 2024, at the close of the 3rd Seminar.
  • October 1 - October 16, 2024 | Application period : Entrepreneurs will have to submit their applications, detailing their business plans and explaining how they intend to use the grant to develop their company. This phase closes on October 16, 2024.
  • October 18, 2024-October 31, 2024  | Evaluation period : Following the application period, a panel of experts will evaluate all submissions. The top 10 finalists will be selected based on the viability, innovation and impact potential of their businesses. This evaluation process takes place during the last two weeks of October.
  • November 5, 2024  | Publication of the 15 finalists : Official announcement of the 15 finalists selected to take part in the rest of the competition.
  • November 20- November 30, 2024 | Voting Period : The public is invited to vote for the company (candidate) of its choice among the 15 finalists. Voting closes: November 30, 2024.
  • November 30, 2024 | Voting Closes : Announcement of the 10 winners : The ten winners will be chosen by combining the points obtained from the analysis of the projects and those obtained from the number of votes cast.
  • December 4-5, 2024 | Pitch Competition : Announcement of the 10 winners : During the Pitch Competition, the 10 finalists are called upon to defend their project in front of a panel of judges. Each finalist has a few minutes to convince the jury of the relevance of their project, demonstrating the potential impact of their company. The winners, chosen according to criteria such as originality, viability and sustainability, will receive financial support, enabling them to transform their initiatives. Beyond the competition, this event is also a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit. It brings together brilliant minds, potential investors and innovation enthusiasts, creating an environment conducive to exchange and collaboration.

Prizes to be won

Each finalist will be rewarded according to his or her ranking. But just like last year, a special prize will be awarded to the “Gran Chanpyon Lakay”. The Gran Chanpyon Lakay is considered the Champion of Champions.
  • “Gran Chanpyon Lakay" : The project that emerges as the overall winner (Gran Chanpyon Lakay) will not only receive recognition, but also a significant financial reward. This sum can be essential for the development of its business. 1st Prize: 3,000 USD
  • 2nd to 5th prizes: 2,500 USD
  • 6th to 10th prize: 2,000 USD
