Fellowship Program
Launch of Second Cohort
Following the success of the first cohort launched on March 8, 2021, culmination with the graduation of 25 committed young women leaders from the West and South departments of the country, Fanm Angaje – the leadership scholarship program for women – in partnership with Global Affairs Canada and the International Coady Institute, as part of the five-year “ENGAGE: Women’s Empowerment and Active Citizenship” program, returns for a second cohort.
This leadership development and project or business incubation program will last 15 months.
The application period is from March 8 to April 22, 2023 targeting female participants in the departments of North, Center and Artibonite
How To Participate
To participate in this second cohort, participants must meet the following criterias:
- Aged between 18 to 35
- Living or evolving in the North, Center or Artibonite departments of the country
- Working in the economic or community development sector;
- Having a business idea or initiative that aims to change their life and that of others in their community, by providing a solution to a social problem; and
- Able to demonstrate leadership qualities, abilities and determination to succeed by committing to an initiative.
The cohort two of Fanm Angaje is made possible thanks to the generous support of Global Affairs Canada and Coady Institute.

Fanm Angaje Fellows
CLE’s fellowship program – Fanm Angaje – closed its application process for the first cohort on April 18, 2021 for which 474 women applied. An internal committee screened and selected the 45 best candidates who in turn pitched their initiative to an expert panel consisting of leaders in business, health, education and women’s leadership sectors. CLE is thrilled to announce the 25 young women social entrepreneurs from the South and West Departments of Haiti, part of CLE’s first Fanm Anngaje cohort!
