Fanm Angaje
Fellowship Program

Woman's Leadership

On March 8 2021, CLE launched a five-year women’s leadership fellowship program in partnership with the Coady International Institute, under the five-year “ENGAGE: Women’s Empowerment and Active Citizenship” Program, along with five other partner countries in Africa and Asia. This Fellowship Program, financed by Global Affairs Canada, will be a 15-month leadership development and project or enterprise incubation program. It will support two cohorts of 25 emerging young women leaders (50 in total) working in inclusive economic development and social enterprise initiatives.

This program will offer :

Intensive tailored education

supporting leadership and professional skills, communications and community mobilization, mentorship and coaching to expand their vision

A multi-media platform

for important conversations and to elevate women’s voices

Access to critical resources

such as scholarships, mentorship, and technical expertise

First cohort of
Fanm Angaje Fellows

CLE’s fellowship program – Fanm Angaje – closed its application process for the first cohort on April 18, 2021 for which 474 women applied. An internal committee screened and selected the 45 best candidates who in turn pitched their initiative to an expert panel consisting of leaders in business, health, education and women’s leadership sectors. CLE is  thrilled to announce the 25 young women social entrepreneurs from the South and West Departments of Haiti, part of CLE’s first Fanm Anngaje cohort!
